After transferring from Georgia State University after Spring 2014, I found my place at UGA and happily established myself. Though my work in the classroom doesn’t make up the largest portion of my portfolio, the connections, opportunities, and resources at my college enabled me to fortify my skills while receiving education. Through my major, I have taken courses concerning videography, video production, editing, social media analytics, script writing, and narrative structure. I also have a minor in Consumer Economics, and I am set to acquire my New Media Certificate upon my graduation in Fall 2017.

The New Media Institute exposed me to a technical side of media production through a curriculum focused on emerging technology. This institute gave me more practical experience than any of my other courses, and I loved every second of it. I took Intro to New Media, New Media Production, New Media Photography, and New Media Capstone in order to secure the certificate. Below you can my work in each of my classes.

For my New Media Capstone group project, I developed a Mixed Reality experience named PlannAR that intended to help event planners bring their client’s vision to life! I developed this experience for the Hololens using Unity. Check out the trailer that I made below as well as the different stages the project went through. I am happy to say my group was chosen to present at SLAM, the end of the year event. You can see more about PlannAR here.
